Student Grievance Procedure

All students enrolled at Shah K.M. College of Commerce have the right to appeal any academic or administrative matter in which they feel they have been treated unfairly.

Examples of student grievances include:

  1. Disputes over grades or course requirements.
  2. Concerns related to faculty or staff conduct.
  3. Issues regarding fines, fees, or administrative policies and procedures.

If any problem arises and is not resolved informally, students may file a grievance with the College Grievance Redressal Cell (CGRC). Any type of student complaint or problem may be presented for official review. The campus hearing body follows formal procedures as per UGC guidelines.

A Student Representative (Ombudsman) and committee members assist students in presenting their case. The deadline for filing any grievance is the last day of the concerned semester during which the incident occurred. Decisions made by the CGRC are final and not subject to further appeal.

The CGRC does not typically provide instant solutions; therefore, attempting resolution at the department or informal level is encouraged before approaching the committee. Grievance forms and related paperwork are available in the college office.

Any student who wishes to file a grievance can contact the Chairperson of the College Grievance Redressal Cell (CGRC) in the college office
