Digital Libraries

Shah K.M.College commitment to academic excellence is reflected in its well-stocked digital libraries. These repositories house a vast collection of e-books, journals, research papers, and multimedia resources, providing students with convenient access to a world of knowledge at their fingertips.

Library Information

Library Objectives

  • To acquire, update, maintain and provide a qualitative and quantitative collection of books, periodicals and other instructional material of electronic resources to support the academic programme and educational objectives of the college.
  • To include in collection various fields of knowledge as well as of career and character building.
  • To provide quality services to faculty and students for achieving their curricular as well as co-curricular goals, with the help of technology, but not as a substitute for personal service.
  • To inculcate reading habit among students and to encourage collaborative efforts among library staff and students to maximum utilization of library resources.

Students can approach the counter for any purpose like Current Reading, Home Issue, Reference or getting information related to any topic of interest.

Home lending of books: All books are issued for one week.

Periodicals: Journals and magazines list is displayed on the library webpage on the college website. Periodicals are available for reading within the library. For home issue, contact the library counter.

Daily newspapers: Available at the library counter for everyone.

Rules for Students using Library

  • Talking loudly, discussing, loitering, eating, smoking, spitting, talking on mobile, shifting chairs, reserving chairs, scratching on furniture is strictly prohibited.
  • All persons using the Library are subject to the discipline of the college.
  • Observe silence, behave decently, and maintain discipline inside the library.
  • Keep belongings outside the counter area; only identity card is allowed inside.
  • Handle books carefully and do not mutilate them in any way.
  • Books for home reading must be returned on the due date; fine of Rs. 1/- per day applies for late returns.
  • Report lost books to the Librarian immediately. Replace lost books or pay cost if unavailable in the market.
  • Reference books are strictly for library use and cannot be taken out.
  • All students must adhere to these rules. The Librarian can take action against persistent violators.
